In this position, you will join our US R&D Center and will be responsible for the installation of the battery test equipment and operation of the battery test equipment. Candidates will prepare the tooling for the battery test and optimize the process of the battery test and write a test protocol under the collaboration with R&D staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building an internal test infrastructure including battery tester and environmental chambers. 
  • Manage the test lab and test jigs and fixtures for data acquisition.
  • Work closely with R&D staff to create the testing protocols. 
  • Handling coin cells and pouch cells for testing.
  • Assemble testing jigs with pouch cells and coin cells.  
  • Conduct coin and/or pouch battery tests and operate battery test equipment daily.
  • Program battery cyclers, post-test inspection and analysis of test data, and report summary.
  • Maintain the connection between testers and the data servers

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies. 

  • BS or MS in engineering or engineering-related discipline. 
  • Preferred 3 ~ 4 years of experience in Li-ion battery testing.  
  • Knowledge of safety to handle high voltage and high current work environments. 
  • Experience in testers (Arvin, Maccor, Neware) and battery cyclers, oscilloscopes, thermocouples, and environmental chambers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Python software is a plus.
  • Self-taught, self-motivated, and collaborative with other team members 
  • Ability to advance multiple projects in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
