We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, and Managing all PO administrative life cycle activities from purchase request up to on-time delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best commercial terms.
- Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
- PO creation and approval chain follow up
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Arrange transport of goods
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Supplier documentation communication
- Goods receipt (in the Priority system)
- Payment (Invoice) coordination
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Purchasing experience, minimum 1 year
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
- Priority knowledge preferred
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- English, writing and speaking
- Team player
- High service orientation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
