Store-Dot is developing ultra-fast charge Li-ion batteries for Electric Vehicles.
You will be leading the electrode engineering team in the Process Development group under the R&D department. The team is responsible for developing the anode and cathode electrodes coating process to produce these novel batteries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage lab pilot line activity for electrode coating for battery development.
- Manage a team of 4-5 people (engineers, technicians, and lab operators).
- Responsibility for manufacturing electrodes on an ongoing basis in high quality for experimental purposes.
- Work and collaborate with R&D, Operations and Procurement groups.
- High level of flexibility, and adaptation to changing needs.
- Deep mechanical understanding of fluid dynamics, pumps, and coating technologies in roll-to-roll system.
- Responsibility for ongoing improvements in the lab pilot line.
- Solving operational and engineering challenges.
- Leading the planning and design for new and improved coating line.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemical engineering or related fields with at least 5 years of experience.
- Experience in leading a team.
- Experience in pilot/production facilities.
- Experience with roll-to-roll processes – An advantage.
- Experience in the following fields: slurries, dispersions, surface tension, substrate adhesion - An advantage .
- Fluent English.
