StoreDot EV FlashBattery
Electric vehicles (EVs) are propelled by one or more electric motors powered by rechargeable battery packs that include hundreds to thousands of battery cells.

EVs face significant battery-related challenges: driving range, battery cost, weight, and recharging time, which can take several hours. While the range, cost, and weight have been significantly improved over the years, charging time remains a major obstacle to the mass adoption of EVs.
Eliminating EV range and charging anxieties
StoreDot has pioneered extreme fast-charging (XFC) batteries that overcome the critical barriers to mainstream EV adoption – range anxiety and charging anxiety.
Key Breakthroughs
StoreDot has revolutionized the conventional Li-ion battery and is working with leading industry partners to improve the charging experience and drive widespread adoption of EVs. By successfully replacing graphite in the cell’s anode with nano-scale metalloids, as well as incorporating specially designed and synthesized proprietary organic and inorganic compounds, StoreDot batteries enable more miles-per-minute of charging, key for solving range anxiety.

5-minute EV charging
By leveraging ion diffusion capability, StoreDot’s extreme fast-charging (XFC) battery technology makes it possible to fully charge an EV in roughly the same time it takes to refuel an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. While the technology already enables 5-minute charging, significant upgrades to current infrastructure are still needed to support the XFC rollout.
Enabling faster adoption of EVs
StoreDot’s ground-breaking battery technology is optimized for the best driving experience and fastest charging times. The Company's extreme fast-charging technology shortens the amount of time drivers have to wait in line to charge their cars, which also dramatically reduces the infrastructure investment required for private and public charging points.
Safe and eco-friendly
The battery architecture is built with a highly stable electrode structure and contains materials that are far less flammable and more stable at high temperatures than traditional Li-ion technology, improving safety and battery cycle life. Consumer safe, the StoreDot EV battery incorporates a multi-layer safety-protection structure.
