StoreDot has pioneered extreme fast-charging (XFC) batteries that overcome the critical barriers to mainstream EV adoption – range anxiety and charging anxiety.

StoreDot has revolutionized the conventional Li-ion battery and is working with leading industry partners to improve the charging experience and drive widespread adoption of EVs. By successfully replacing graphite in the cell’s anode with nano-scale metalloids, as well as incorporating specially designed and synthesized proprietary organic and inorganic compounds, StoreDot batteries enable more miles-per-minute of charging, key for solving range anxiety.

5-minute EV charging

 

By leveraging ion diffusion capability, StoreDot’s extreme fast-charging (XFC) battery technology makes it possible to fully charge an EV in roughly the same time it takes to refuel an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. While the technology already enables 5-minute charging, significant upgrades to current infrastructure are still needed to support the XFC rollout.
