In this position, you will join our system group in our R&D Department. You will be in charge of prototyping and evaluating battery cell design performance to meet product specifications for electric vehicles (EV).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prototyping and evaluating battery cell design performance to meet product specifications.
Ensure systems design and documentation to meet all safety and regulatory compliance
In-depth research of Thermal/ Resistance / Safety cell level performance. Mostly experimental but also modeling using Matlab/Comsol is requested.
Development of spec and data sheet along with required testing procedures.
Contribute to establishing the best engineering practices in the full product development cycle for the entire team.
Design of experiments (DoE) to identify the optimal cell parameters.
Develop cell diagnostic tools.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
PhD in Physics, Chemichal Physics or other related field- a must
At least 3 years of experience with similar/relevant system design/integration of technology into a product according to PRD.
Demonstrate technical leadership and analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience through full product development cycle of complex systems, from initial concept to release to market.
Work experience in R&D teams, with multidiciplinary teams and ability to manage technical discussions – a must
Knowledge in energy storage/batteries-advantage
Modeling using Comsol software- an advantage
