In this position you will join the CTO team responsible for leading the company’s technology direction.
The team is responsible for locating short and long term technological needs and implementation of strategies to reach our goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Familiar with all aspects of energy storage and technology, aligned with the academic and the wider development community.
Regularly evaluate existing technology, research new solutions, technologies and recommend changes.
Proactive approach to evaluate and determine future technology.
Perform appropriate cost benefit analysis, recommend solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.
Develop new programs for future technologies to support the strategic direction of the organization.
Facilitate collaboration between R&D, Engineering and Product Management by establishing the implementation of a new technology.
Working on the company strategy with the marketing team.
Conducting basic and applied research on important and challenging opened technological issues.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
PhD in Electrochemistry/chemistry/Material Science
3+ years’ experience in R&D Groups in the field of batteries or energy storage
Preferably experience in multi-disciplinary fields in innovative companies
Ability to work collaboratively with group members, internal/external colleagues
A strong work ethic candidate with a strong desire for innovation & research
