In this position, you will be the professional data science authority and lead our data science projects to invent, design and implement new advanced research tools, and ML-based predictors and analyzers, for our ultra fast charge lithium battery research.
We are a multidisciplinary data science molecule team that collects large datasets of battery testing data across thousands of channels, in various form factors, in order to discover new innovative research insights, process optimizations and performance and failure advance predictors.
Our technical stack includes: MySQL, Postgres and Redis databases on premise and in GCP, Jupyter notebooks for researchers with Bokeh applets for visualizations and more, all in object-oriented Python.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and engineer large and complex data sets.
Help define the analytical direction and influence the direction of the infrastructure work.
Work closely with the team to identify and communicate the analysis process of our data.
Plan, design and execute machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms for various electrochemical predictions and optimizations.
Be involved in cutting-edge research, engage broadly with the organization to identify, prioritize & frame data science solutions to complex challenges.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
M.Sc. or PhD. in a quantitative field (such as: Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics or related)
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an applied data scientist / machine learning professional
Expert programming skills – Python and SQL - Required
Advanced machine learning experience (deep learning) – Advantage
Advanced Chemistry, Physics and Electro-chemistry knowledge – Advantage
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, and specifically machine learning tools – Advantage
