The Process Development Technician is responsible for performing experiments related to the process development of slurries of active material for the production of new generation of fast charge Li-ion batteries. This includes slurry preparation, coating, size reduction, suspension preparation and stabilization, and performing analysis measurements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be part of a group that develops raw material/active material and slurries for fast charge/high energy lithium batteries for electronic devices and electric vehicles.
Performing analysis measurements for the development of the raw material process.
Slurry/suspension preparation and coating.
Operation and maintenance of wet ball milling machines processes and developing/improving milling and suspension/slurry stabilization parameters.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Chemistry or related field practical engineer is a must
Experience in working with wide range of analytical tools (rheology, adhesion, particle size measurement, LOD) is an advantage.
Experience in working with small scale mixers, reactors and coaters is an advantage.
Experience in working with solvents and solid particles.
Experience in data documentation and analysis - an advantage.
Experience in working with wet ball milling machines - an advantage.
Initiative, hands on, with high technical and good communication skills, great teamwork, ability to multitask.
