In this position, you will join our R&D team, and you will be responsible for screening, designing and synthesizing novel solid-state electrolytes and polymer electrolytes for ultra-fast charging batteries and high energy density batteries. This experienced, skilled and creative researcher will develop, analyze and characterize these materials, and will evaluate their performance in battery cells.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understanding of electrolyte materials, properties and processing approaches of solid-state, gel and polymer electrolytes.
Experience in design and synthesis of solid-state materials, ceramics and/or polymer electrolytes.
Initiate innovative and creative projects.
Ability to translate ideas into practical experiments and solutions.
Experience with working in glove-box.
Documentation of experiments and analysis of the results.
Work in cross-functional, self-organized multidisciplinary teams.
Contribute, present and implement new ideas.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
M.Sc or Ph.D. in chemical engineering, material science, chemistry or relevant field.
Demonstrated knowledge in gel, polymer and solid-state electrolytes, their relevant materials, processing and testing methodologies.
Strong experience in solid-state ionics and ceramics and/or ionic conductive polymers and/or electrolyte technologies, Including synthesis, processing and fabrication.
Experience with the integration of polymers and advanced materials in devices.
Knowledge of Li-ion battery manufacturing - Advantage
Experience with thin-films ionic conductors – Advantage.
Knowledge in electrochemistry and energy-storage devices – Advantage.
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
Self-taught, self-motivated and collaborative with excellent time management skills.
Ability to advance multiple projects in a fast paced multidisiplinary environment.
