n this position you will join the team that performs disrupting outdated battery ecosystems and infusing them with transformative ideas to charge batteries in only 5 minutes!
You will design and carry out experiments to study factors that influence the performance of battery cell components. Develop state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery data analysis pipeline to optimize the lifetime and performance of current and next-generation batteries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prototyping product-level-cell-form-factor the fast charging battery cell and general integration of the technology to meet product specifications.
In-depth research of thermal/ electrochemical performance to design the cell performance to meet product specifications. Mostly experimental but also modeling is requested.
Development of system requirements, design and system level testing procedures.
Ensure systems design and documentation meet all safety and regulatory compliance
In-depth analysis of thermal/electrochemical cell performance under various conditions, with integration of data from other RD/Product/Engineering teams.
Contribute to establishing the best engineering practices in the full product development cycle for the entire team
Design of experiments (DoE) for finding the optimal cell parameters.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
BSc in EE or related field and at least 3 years of experience as System engineer or PhD/MSc in EE, Physics, or other related field with knowledge in energy storage/batteries.
Experience with similar/relevant system design/integration of technology into a product according to PRD.
Demonstrated technical leadership and issue ownership; ability of analytical problem solving and troubleshooting
Experience through full product development cycle of complex systems, from initial concept to release to market
R&D experience with energy storage devices/Li ion battery cells- an advantage
Modeling using Comsol software.
Ability to work fluently in English.
