In this position, you will join our US R&D Center, and will be part of a team which develops and produces electrodes to assemble Small Form Factor Pouch cell. You will help to prepare all the components of the pouch cells and operate the equipment to assemble pouch cells.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte and Li metal electrode
- Manual stacking of the electrode to assemble for 1-layer cell (or multi-layer cell in near future)
- Handle organic electrolyte in the globe box to inject electrolyte to the pouch cell
- Welding of the Al or Ni tabs with Al or Cu and Li metal foil
- Handling vacuum sealer at high temperature to seal pouch
- Cleaning and washing lab tools and working surfaces
- Organizing lab equipment and working stations
- Documentation of data is required
- Operate or assist the mixing and coating processes when help is needed
- Performing QC tests on the parts and assembled pouch cell.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Preferred at least 3 years work experience in the Li ion battery lab or manufacturers
- Hands-on skills are highly recommended
- Familiar with Microsoft office software, like a word and excel
- Able to work effectively in a high paced work environment
- Flexible to work multiple processes in pouch cell assembly.
